Don't forget the last clubnight before we start our midweek evening runs - David Hulse is coming on Thursday 9th April to give us his talk on early steam power - "Newcomen and the engines that changed the world."

At an uneventful section AGM on Thursday 12^th March, the officers were re-elected and Kate confirmed that our finances are in good shape. The committee is unchanged except that Neil Hodgson has decided to stand down although he’ll still be riding with us.

April brings the first of our section runs with the Oatcake Run on Sunday 12^th. As in previous years, come to Bradnop Village Hall and pick up your route sheet to head off at about 10.30. Come back for your oatcakes and a brew after a grand ride round the peaks and moorlands – what could be better? We also have the North Midlands Area anniversary baton for a few weeks and will need a volunteer to take it round the route and maybe grab a photo somewhere.

Advance notice that the dates for Darren and Neil's runs in May have been changed and are now Thursday 21st May and Sunday 31st May respectively.
