Although we have no planned section runs for December, we do have a club night planned for Thursday 11^th, which will feature David Hulse talking about early developments in steam power - "Newcomen and the engines that changed the world."

As with Chris Saltinstall last month, David is giving up his own time to visit us so as much support as possible would be appreciated please. See David's website for a flavour - Home - David Hulse Steam Engines

If there is enough interest, I can arrange a lunchtime pre-Christmas social as we did last year. The Wetherspoons in Stone seemed to work well. Let me know....

I have dished out a few hard copies of the 2026 section calendar and will carry a few around with me in case anyone else wants one. It’s also downloadable from the Events page here and details of all runs and meetings are also listed individually.

In case I forget before the end of December we'll be in Leek at noon on New Year’s Day for our 2026 Hangover Run. As in the last couple of years I'm going to save myself a job and recycle one of Geoff Davies' old routes, although I will go out and do a recce.

When you get your December magazine, you should also get a 2026 calendar. Within this is our special one-off ISDT Centenary event on 17th June. The team have been working on the planning and more details will be available shortly.
